OxMog was 'conceived' in June 1976 when Paul Gordon contacted Chas Smith - the then Secretary of the MSCC and suggested the formation of an Oxford Centre of the Morgan Sports Car Club. Chas gave the idea his approval and OxMog was formed.

Founder members were Paul (Secretary) and Diane Gordon, Ian and Marion Catmull, Peter and Beryl Anderson, Pat and Bob Cragg and Roy and Lin Halford.

'Noggin and Natters' commenced at various watering holes with some early mid-monthly noggins held at Paul’s home in Jeune Street, Oxford.

On 28th January 1977 - the Committee was formed to organise events and collect subs etc.

The Founding Committee members were Paul Gordon (Secretary), Peter Anderson (Treasurer), Ian Catmull, Roy Halford, Andy Kirk and Dave Stretton-Smith.
