To celebrate both the 75th Anniversary of MSCC and our centre's 50th Anniversary we have 'started' (sorry for the pun!) a fund raising initiative to help out a local cause close to our hearts as motoring enthusiasts.
We hope that as many Centres as possible will join in the Challenge and raise funds for StarterMotor. We will let 'Morgan' describe what he intends to do.. 'Morgan's Message... 'Message from Steve Cootes, General Manager StarterMotor.. |
'Morgan' arrived safely in the post from Roger Pettican, Centre Secretary of NorMOG.
It was an opportunity to meet up with my ivory model Morgan, Sylvia 1 (the Morgan owned by Dr Gilbertson, the GP in Postman Pat). With great anticipation, she was going to visit our first Noggin of 2026 at The Crispin in Great
Longstone, the longtime home of TorMOG. Sadly, Storm Goretti put a stop to this by kindly dumping 6 inches of snow on the Secretary’s house. Not the weather for a Morgan with a precious cargo. So, the model skipped our Noggin and made its way north to the Yorkshire Centre AGM
where it was handed over to Jeremy Wilson, Yorkshire Centre Secretary. 4 December - SogMOG Centre Secretary Colin Cruickshank (left of the picture) took me to the Centre Secretaries meeting at the Factory. Sherwood Forest Centre have invited me to attend their next meeting. OxMOG Centre Secretary John Duff is in the middle passing me on to Centre Secretary Richard Maxfield on the right (Now, where's my bow and arrow and green tights!)
19 October - ThamesMOG - It was good to meet up with Chair Jann Robinson and Centre Contact Richard Clayton after Andy Doughty guided me to their noggin. I'm off to London now as my tank has been filled to the brim with their generous donation!
